Sioux Center Chamber to Host Director Debi Durham for Community Engagement Event

Director of Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa Finance Authority to Share Updates on Housing, Workforce, and Tourism

Sioux Center, IA – The Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that Debi Durham, Director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) and Iowa Finance Authority (IFA), will visit Sioux Center on Friday, November 1st. The event will provide an opportunity for Chamber members, business leaders, and local stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of housing, workforce development, and tourism in Iowa.

The day’s activities will begin at 12:00 PM at the Dordt Ag Stewardship Center, where Director Durham will address Chamber members at the monthly meeting. During her presentation, she will share insights on the state's housing and workforce initiatives, as well as creative solutions being implemented across Iowa. Director Durham will also highlight current tourism initiatives, which are vital for boosting Iowa’s economy and local communities. The cost of the luncheon is $15 and no RSVP is required.

Following the Chamber meeting, Director Durham will participate in a more intimate discussion with local business leaders. This informal conversation will provide attendees the chance to share their experiences, successes and challenges they are currently facing in their respective industries. The goal of this session is to foster collaboration and find new opportunities for growth and problem-solving within the Sioux Center community.

Director Durham will also tour various industries in Sioux Center, further showcasing the city’s vibrant business landscape and innovation.
