2022 Summer Celebration
We had a great weekend celebrating this year’s Summer Celebration. The weekend started out with our Community Cook-Out on Thursday evening. The Sioux County Pork Producers and the Sioux County Cattlemen grilled nearly 4500 delicious burgers while we were entertained by the talents of The HOME Ministry Worship Team and Mexican folk dancers, Estrellas De Jalisco.
Friday evening, downtown smelled delicious with local non-profit food vendors and spectators, and drivers cruised up and down main street for the annual cruise night. Later in the evening, we rocked out to local favorites, The Rurualists and premier band IV Play.
Saturday started with the pancake breakfast supporting our local public and Christian schools at the fire station followed by the Kids Karnival. Kids had fun playing on the inflatables, riding on the mini train and seeing the animals at the petting zoo. They also got to meet some of their favorite fairytale characters. The park also smelled of great food from our food vendors and from the Fire & Smoke BBQ Challenge. Visitors enjoyed shopping at the Merchant Market while also getting to check out the classic cars along the way. We had a wonderful turnout for the parade and then ended the evening with the glow run and a dazzling firework display.
We had such a great weekend and would like to thank all of our generous sponsors for making the weekend possible, and to everyone who came out this weekend to celebrate the wonderful community we live in.
