Summer Celebration

Mark your calendars for the first weekend in June! You don’t want to miss this three day event, that we call Summer Celebration. We kick off the festivities on Thursday evening with a free community BBQ and musical entertainment located outside at Central Park.

If you are a race fan, you will want to head over to the fairgrounds after your meal to catch the races. On Friday local residents line the sidewalks near Highway 75 to watch the classic and modified cars that participate in “Cruise Night.”

Saturday is full of various activities starting with a 5K & 10K walk/run or a 25/50 mile bike ride that both begin near the All Seasons Center. A pancake fundraiser breakfast is also served at the All Seasons Center. The breakfast is sponsored by HyVee. Later in the morning, visit the Centre Mall where you can shop over 25 art/craft vendors located inside or hang outside with the kids enjoying free activities including inflatables, balloon man, and much more. Food vendors are also present near the mall throughout the day for your convenience. Alco, the Car & Truck “Show & Shine” takes place behind Central Park, you do not want to miss that! Around 4 pm you will want to make your way to 1st Ave where our kiddie parade will take place followed by our parade at 5 pm. We look forward to seeing you in June!
